Love the Lamb Ragu photo ... my Lombardesa nonna used to use lamb a lot more than we do and I could immediately remember the taste when I saw that photo. I must buy some lamb and do this for old time's sake.

Thanks for the shout out! Tonight we're in Venice at Covo and tomorrow at La Frasca in the province of Udine...
We need to discuss Biancomangiare and Artusi one of these days, btw!
thanks again! :-)

Did you say Nutella? What a line up!

Paula - Thank you for the photo compliment! Spring is coming, so it will so be the season for lamb. Lamb is actually my favorite meat.
Jeremy - You're very welcome. I appreciate all your food & wine posts, but especially those in Italy....will look out for Venice & Udine.
Tiffany - I agree...I especially liked the chocolate crust.
Cristina - I'm glad you added an Italian dish to your usually fabulous French repertoire. For me, I think there are a few Italian actors piu bello di Marcello Mastroianni -- Raoul Bova & Riccardo Scamarcio are my two favs right now (but I'm fickle :-)
Belinda - YES! Nutella Day is less than a week away. Are you making something special?

Mmmm this all makes me hungry. The Nutella cheese cake looks to die for.

Another delicious week! I think the first time I had strozzapretti was in Assisi - what a funny name :) Took a few bags back to the States as gifts & they were a huge hit...seem to work well with a lot of sauces.
I'm sure you're getting excited for your trip...& I'm a big Raoul Bova fan as well (what a man, lol!)..

Wow, I don't know what dessert is in that picture but WOW!! I'm absolutely dying for chocolate tonight. :-) Guess I'll have to go rummage for some chocolate chips to tide me over. :-)

What a great post. Thanks for sharing all of these. I love all the photos - also the one of the pizza window.... making me hungry!

Ang and Krista - Thanks, yes that Gianduja & Nutella cheesecake was very tasty. You can click on the photo to get to the post with the recipe.
Tuula - I think strozzapreti is my favorite pasta name. Although I'm pretty sure it's in reference to their collars, the image of strangling/choking a priest makes me laugh. I think I might have to watch "Facing Windows" tonight with that mention of Raoul Bova.
Jill - Thank you for the very kind compliment on the post and the photos. They make me hungry, too.
