I'm very excited about the variety of regional recipes in this week's Top 10. You'll find a classic from North Italy, a "little steak" from Napoli, an Autumn/winter classic in Rome - Puntarelle, Sicillian spiedini, a sausage dish from Umbria, and chestnut cake from Tuscany. As it's also officially Christmas season, we're slowly getting into the Christmas spirit with Christmas sweet breads. Two posts on the subject, one a recipe for panettone and another on six sweet Christmas breads in Italy. In the coming month, I'll be on the lookout for as many Italian Christmas recipes as I can find and will be making a few of mine own, too. Eating Italy has eating advice for the biggies (Rome & Florence) and for smaller cities - Bologna, Trieste, Mantua. There's also a link to information for a Barolo wine app and more. Enjoy this week's roundup and Buon Appetito!

Where's the recipe for the ravioli in the top photo? Can't tell which one that is (the sauce looks like my nonna's). All of the food looks wonderful, of course.

Sorry, Paula, but no recipe for the ravioli in that photo. That's the donkey ragu from my lunch with Edoardo Visconti. I don't have plans to create one either, as I think it would be impossible to find donkey meat here in the U.S. :)
