After the short pause in posts during my travels in Italy and France, I'm back online and have so much to share with you. From here on, you can count on posts almost daily as I share my food journey and recipes from the road. This week I have stories of more pastry and savory binging from Paris. I'll also share my day with a count in Lombardy and the many risotto dishes from his restaurant, a day at Eurochocolate in Perugia, one of crashing a wedding in Salento, and another cooking focaccia and pasta with an Italian mamma. In weeks to come, I'll have even more. I've sampled so much regional cuisine and sweets in Puglia, Rome, Piedmont, Provence and Paris that it's surprising my clothes still fit.
I returned on Friday. After catching up on sleep all Saturday, I started writing and organizing this week's posts. However, since today is Sunday, I thought it best to get back to my normal routine and regular Sunday programming: Italy on a Plate. As usual on Sundays, here is the week in Italian food from around the web. Enjoy the hearty fall fare and buon appetito!

Thanks for the "Welcome Backs" Krista, Simona, Paula and Tuula! Although I'm glad to be back to more time online, I do wish it were somewhere in Italy or France instead.
Paula - The post on the count is up next.
Shinkaku - Well, a Welcome back is in order for you, too. I'm glad the post helps to bring back your travel memories.
Tuula - Believe me, I miss seeing Provence with you, too. Now, when I read your posts or see your photos, I think, "Oh ya, I was there!"
