Artichokes, a "big night" in Napoli with timballo, Artusi's brodo, dishes from Piedmont, Rome, Puglia, Livorno and goulash from the Dolomites are the recipes for this week's Italian food roundup. In Eating Italy, we travel all around the boot with food and drink, too (a lot of wine links this week): A culinary tour in Sicily, a restaurant in Bari, a market and food lover's trip in Rome, a wine bar in Verona, polenta in Stresa and some words of wisdom on cooking pasta the Italian way (the only way, of course).
Also, be sure to check back here daily for the next two weeks for a Taste of Puglia. To celebrate the culinary tours to Puglia I'm hosting in May and September, I'll be bringing you recipes, stories and information from Puglia to whet your appetite. Enjoy & Buon Appettito!

Adri - You're welcome, as always. Although the sun is out, here in No. California, we've hit a bit of a cold spell, and your soup warmed me up just by reading about it.
Marco - Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I'm glad you like the blog and am sure you can understand my love for Puglia. By the way, I stopped by your site and really like it. Great information on Puglia!
Linda - You're welcome. I love seeing dishes from North Italy with Austria/Hungarian influences. A lot of people don't realize there are places in Italy where these types of dishes are very common.
