MARKET-DAY FULL-MEAL COOKING CLASS
(Every Tuesday and Thursday ~ 9:30am to 5:30pm)
A Provencal market is absolutely one of those not-to-miss adventures when visiting Provence. The bright and bold colors of Provence and its markets are on full display. As varied as the colors are, so are the scents that fill the air. One moment the aroma of salty pork products lingers in the breeze. Then you sniff out the dirty-feet odor of the cheese vendor. Sweet scents of strawberries and melons chase away the stinky-cheese smell and the toasty trail from the bread stand of cooked yeast and crusty baguettes leads you to the tapinade and olive stand to find something to slather on that bread. Finally, you come upon the spice vendor, whose wares fill your head with sultry scents from the East. One thing is certain; at the end of a visit to Aix's market, you're ready to eat. Take this class, and a fabulous market-to-table meal is on its way.
Every Tuesday and Thursday from April through October, we'll take a tour through Aix's food market and purchase the freshest ingredients to prepare our meal. In our private kitchen, just a few minutes from the market, we'll make a full four-course meal - an entrée (starter), plat, cheese platter and dessert. A well-paired French wine will be included in the meal.
This is an all-day class where you'll learn and practice many cooking skills and techniques. Classes are limited to a maximum of 8 people to ensure that everyone gets individual attention and a truly hands-on experience.

Includes: Breakfast croissant or pain au chocolat, market tour, cooking class with a full four-course meal (entrée, plat, cheese platter, dessert and wine), and booklet of recipes
